A bit about Bosilliac
Bosilliac is part of Rosemerryn Farm and runs down the valley as far as Maenporth beach and it's a lovely walk across the fields along the footpath. My husband Neil has farmed here all his life and his father bought Bosilliac from General Sir Francis Tuker, who lead an Indian Division in the Second World War and took part in the battle of Monte Cassino. General Tuker set up a market garden at Bosilliac where he built his house. There were apple orchards, and greenhouses in the meadow and he exhibited in many local shows. As time progressed Neil and his father developed the farm and specialised in daffodil growing. The fields were a sea of golden daffodils. There are still signs of daffodils everywhere. Bosilliac meadow has a lovely display of White Lion daffodil in the late spring and I have planted a small group of Cornish Apple Trees. The apples are pressed into juice every autumn and our visitors are treated to a bottle as part of our welcome. Our cattle now graze the fields of the farm and you will most likely see them on your walk to Meanporth.
